Script Resolution Idea



2 Minute Resolution Outline


Outline:
  •           Rushes to the lab on the motorbike – gadget tracker….
  •           Finds someone on the computer (back towards him). Bond has his gone pointed at the person. – assassin….
  •             The person turns around, and turns out to be his Bond Girl
  •            Bond all shocked, (villain) giving an evil smirk. Bond frisking her to check if she has any weapons on her. (Sexual tension) – Blindfolds her with the Flag (propaganda)
  • ·        She starts to instigate Bond. At first he hesitates, listens and points his gun to shoot her but can't, due to his love
  • ·       He looks at the flag, can’t take her nonsense anymore… CU pulls the trigger and her body slumps

  • ·       Cries, as a result of this quit – he wipes the blood of his gun and hand s with the flag. Throws both into the Thames…
  • ·       Puts the watch down, takes off the cufflinks and bow tie and the jacket…undoes the button.

Walks away from his original life….

Script:

Bond tracks down the terrorist (gets a signal on his watch) and rushes towards the lab on his motorbike (Gherkin behind him)

He reaches to the location (lab)
Points his guns at the person behind the chair

Bond: Put your hands behind your head, turn around
The person turns and Olivia turns out to be his enemy

Bond: (Shocked tone) Olivia??? .....

Olivia: Well Well, unexpected face, isn't it... 007?

Bond: What... what are u... argh.. Stand up!
Frisking to check if she has any weapons (sexual tension due to closeness)
Grabs her hands and ties them, finds a small British flag on a desk and puts that around her eyes to blindfold her

Olivia: Come on bond! Don't act so surprised! You should know my reality, but you never guessed it even after being in a strong relationship with me. You couldn't catch me, neither could you figure out my reality! What sort of agent are you??
Bond points his gun at her with a slight hesitation

Bond:  Shut up! Why! ... That's the question. Why did you do this?

Olivia: Betray? (Loud tone) What do you know about being betrayed? You know nothing! I’m the one who’s paid the price for being betrayed. The country and people I served, what did it give me… Nothing… NOTHING! And you’re giving me the nonsense about being betrayed! Huh… bullshit!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

 Bond: Okay, I’ve had enough of this (mumbles)
Bond looks at the flag on her face, can’t take her nonsense and shoots
(Her body slumps on the floor, he falls besides her and cries as he takes off the flag)

Bond: I’m sorry (with the flag in his hands, he looks from the flag to the body)
Near Thames (Wipes the blood of his gun and hands with the flag. Throws both into the Thames)
Takes everything off (watch, cufflinks, bow tie and jacket) 
Finishes off with him walking away through the tunnel

    Feedback from Natasha (Mentor Partner):

    Change "Why did you do this?" to "Why would you betray me?"
    - Links in with the comment by Olivia about being betrayed.

    Make sure that actors are fluent and natural.

    A good foundation and the scene clearly explores your Macro.
    To improve: Needs greater scene description - see examples from last year on the blog.
    Dialogue needs to be developed, the following lines are particularly 'clunky' or unrealistic:

    Bond: Okay, I’ve had enough of this (mumbles)
    Bond looks at the flag on her face, can’t take her nonsense and shoots
    (if he was really conflicted about his love for his country or his love for this woman he wouldn't think/feel/react like this - you need to show how she has taken away his masculinity without him becoming a complete girl. In Skyfall he looses his aim - what about this, a warning shot or a near miss?)

    "but you never guessed it even after being in a strong relationship with me."
    (This is too clunky - you need to establish they were involved but more subtly than this - maybe she knows something private about him that is his Achilles Heel? This would then demonstrate they were involved...did she leave him and take something? Have a think - remember keep it mysterious.)

    Now think about the 9 key images you will be photographing:
    Where (location) - often difficult to find so start looking now - London I think?
    Costume
    Props - Gun and Flag - DO NOT TAKE THE GUN OUT IN PUBLIC!
    Actors - Who is gonna be Bond - please don't make him a teenager.
